Japanese Breakfast Rice Bowl (Tamago Gohan)

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup uncooked basmati rice
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • Optional: Seaweed, green onions

Instructions

  1. Bring the rice and 1 cup of water to a boil. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  2. As soon as the rice is cooked, place in a bowl and immediately crack the egg on it and mix with some soy sauce.
  3. Serve or add in some seaweed and/or green onions.
